System Administrator III

System Administrator III to support critical and forward-leaning IT operations in Ft. Meade, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and contribute to meaningful technical solutions in a collaborative, mission-driven team.
Required Skills

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 10 years of experience as a System Administrator; Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (or additional 5 years of experience in lieu of degree)
• CWIP Certification: IAT Level 2
• Proficient with Linux systems (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
• Experience managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systemsAid users in accessing and using IT systems effectively
• Configuration of Cisco and Palo Alto switches and firewalls
• Provide support for IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
• STE/STN Compliance familiarity

Nice to Have

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification
• Knowledgeable with Virtual Machines
• Experience setting up IPSEC Tunnels and VPN Tunneling
• Familiarity with Ansible (Playbooks)
• Scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash or other scripting languages)
• Automation experience
• Cabling, documentation, and rack & stack activities
• Experience with IAVA patching
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000 (annualized USD).
