ASRC Federal Professional Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong writing abilities to join our team in support of the Education Doctrine and Instruction for Intelligence Efforts (EDIF-IE) contract at the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) located at Fort Huachuca, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, writing, editing, and validating various Army Intelligence doctrinal publications, focusing specifically on the Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE). This role will involve conducting comprehensive doctrinal assessments and research to update and improve Army Intelligence doctrine. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, making strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Review and update existing Army Intelligence doctrinal publications, ensuring accuracy and relevance to current and future operational needs.
  • Write and develop the IPOE doctrinal manual (2.01.3), incorporating feedback from subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough research on current and emerging intelligence concepts and integrate findings into doctrine development.
  • Collaborate effectively with other doctrine writers, intelligence analysts, and military personnel to ensure alignment and coherence in doctrine.
  • Validate doctrinal publications by engaging with field units, training centers, and participating in relevant meetings and working groups.
  • Provide expert feedback on both proponent and non-proponent documents, contributing to the continuous improvement of Army Intelligence doctrine

Skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of intelligence systems, operations, and training.
  • In-depth knowledge of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and experience with various operational domains, including land, sea, air, space, cyber, and the information environment.
  • Proven experience in applying intelligence disciplines within military operations across multiple command levels.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to conduct extensive research and effectively incorporate research findings into doctrinal projects.
  • Proficiency in writing and developing technical documents, including military white papers, research papers, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Military Intelligence Professional Bulletin (MIPB) articles, and capability documents, using standard American English grammar.
  • Competence in reviewing, assessing, and providing constructive feedback on doctrinal and non-doctrinal documents.
  • Ability to travel to attend meetings, participate in working groups, and visit units and training centers as required.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using the Army 365 Teams collaborative platform.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years technical writing experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of military intelligence experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of operational experience at different levels of command within the last 10 years.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in intelligence, security, or a related discipline. Degree requirements may be reduced based on directly relevant operational experience.
  • Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Doctrine Developers Certification desired

Clearance Requirements
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI is required.
