We are seeking an experienced Hardware Technician to support our classified hardware development team. The ideal candidate will assist with lab activities, TEMPEST testing, and prototype development for advanced network security appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and maintain lab equipment for hardware testing and validation
• Assist in TEMPEST testing procedures and data collection
• Perform hardware modifications and assembly of prototype units
• Develop and maintain test fixtures and harnesses
• Document test procedures and results in a classified environment
• Support engineers in troubleshooting and debugging hardware issues
• Manage lab and maintain equipment
Requirements:
• Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in hardware testing and prototyping
• Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)
• Basic understanding of PCB assembly and rework techniques
• Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly of prototypes
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
• U.S. citizenship and maintain required security clearance and we can hold anything up to a TS/SCI
Desired Skills:
• Experience with TEMPEST testing procedures
• Familiarity with high-speed digital systems and FPGAs
• Experience working in classified environments
• Proficiency with lab automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
