Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer Manager to lead the Meridian System Test and Verification team of the System of System Integration (SoSI) IPT. The System Test and Verification team is responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of the Space to Ground test events leading to IOC including System AI&T and On-orbit test for a satellite communications system. This L-coded systems engineer will also be a technical contributor to the team in addition to L-code responsibilities as a first line leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Systems Engineering, with a focus on systems integration and test, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities for this position include:
• Providing oversight for system test related engineering activities
• Working with LM ground IPT, Chief Engineer (CE), customer team and Space Contractor to plan and execute system test events
• Applying the Agile methodology to allocate systems engineering resources across program projects
• Oversees the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and resources throughout the engineering life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications products
• Performance, training, and career guidance for direct reports
• Hiring and staffing of Systems Engineers for Meridian system test teams
• Providing technical oversight for the engineering projects
• Identifying and managing program level risks
• Monitoring project progress of all projects being implement from inception to implementation
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience leading technical teams
• Systems Engineering skills and experience
• Earned Value Management (EVM) understanding or experience and/or schedule management for engineering activities
• Active or Current Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Prior management experience
• Allocating systems engineering resources across program projects
• Agile methodology experience
• Prior Control Account Management (CAM) experience
• Demonstrated experience modelling Full-Spectrum Leadership (FSL) behaviors
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Previous experience in Space to Ground system level test planning, execution and reporting
• Experience working with and presenting to customer and/or external stakeholders
• Active or Current TS/SCI clearance

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
