The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Senior Enterprise Database Administrator to be instrumental in driving data management strategies that enhance data science initiatives at USSTRATCOM. This position involves not only managing and optimizing large-scale databases but also establishing a robust framework for data governance and stewardship to support operational excellence.

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Database Administrator (DBA), Senior:
  • Provides comprehensive Enterprise Database Management and Administration in support of USSTRATCOM operations
  • Provides support of database design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and security across multiple environments (e.g., development, testing, production)
  • Ensures availability, reliability, and scalability to meet the operational demands and evolving needs of the organization
  • Manages new or updated database technologies and all platform databases (currently Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Develops, builds, and deploys database schemas and populates development, test, and production databases on schedule
  • Completes and retains database backups
  • Provides industry standards of service, including the performance of preventive maintenance, inspections, and services designed to maximize the reliability of infrastructure resources
  • Troubleshoots issues with existing or development of database systems and resolves issues
  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on enterprise-level databases and data management in support of data science applications
  • Proficiency in SQL, database management systems
  • Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 421 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$78,000 - $163,800
