Silotech Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Information Assurance Security Assessor to support our Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering. This critical role will provide cybersecurity support, risk assessment expertise, and system accreditation guidance for Microsoft Azure environments, ensuring confidentiality, availability, and integrity of DoD systems and information.

Location

This position requires 80% onsite support at either Crystal City, VA or Fort Meade, MD, with the remaining 20% remote. No travel reimbursement is provided.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity support and guidance for the security of Microsoft Azure environments and related DoD systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in the system Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) process.
• Design, develop, integrate, and implement cybersecurity architecture, system components, and countermeasures.
• Support DoD cybersecurity efforts to protect the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) against cyber threats.
• Lead or participate in cyber threat hunt initiatives, incident investigations, and development of mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications Systems (JWICS) enhanced security standards.
• Work closely with Cybersecurity Leads, Engineering, and Operations teams to maintain operational security postures.
• Utilize and manage cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, CMRS, JIMS, eMASS, and DHS IACS.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards, including CNSSI 1253, NIST 800-53, and DoD RMF processes.
• Present findings and solutions to senior leadership and collaborate across the program to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of related cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments at scale.
• Extensive experience implementing security controls for DoD Impact Level 6 and Level 7 environments.
• Experience working with cybersecurity solutions and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Certifications

• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) required.
• IAT Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP CE, CCNP, CISA) preferred.

Desired Skills

• Expertise in cybersecurity service provider (CSSP) functions and cyber network defense (CND).
• Proficiency with tools like Azure Sentinel, Lighthouse, and Defender ATP.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Ability to lead and consult on complex cybersecurity challenges.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet operational deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
