Minimum Qualifications:
Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying:
Principles and methods for integrating information systems components; Performance tuning tools and techniques; System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques; Systems administration methods; Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services; Installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components; Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers; Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests; and IT security principles.
OR
Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems management, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. NOTE: If claiming this qualification, a copy of transcripts must be uploaded at the time of application.
AND
In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following four competencies:
1. Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews.
2. Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
3. Verbal communication - Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise.
4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Conditions of Employment

- (or higher certification) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Technical, Level II technicians, and DoDM 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce.
- Qualification and Management Program within 6 months of hire date.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a physical assessment, Tier Ill investigation, and Special Agreement Checks.
- Must be able to work in an on-call status on rotating weekends.
- Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
- Position is Emergency Essential. Must be available to be called back to duty for emergencies.
- Must be able to carry and lift up to 40 pounds.

- The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is local commuting area. Commuting area is defined as US Citizens and Non-Citizens that live within a 50-miles radius of Ft. Novosel to include, Coffee, Dale, Houston counties. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
- Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
