ARS is seeking a results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to develop and implement digital strategies that effectively promote our government innovation initiatives. This role will leverage various digital channels to increase awareness, drive engagement, and build communities around our programs. The ideal candidate will combine strategic digital marketing expertise with analytical skills to optimize campaigns and demonstrate measurable impact. Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with program objectives
  • Manage creation and distribution of engaging content across digital platforms including social media, websites, and email campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns and demonstrate ROI
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all digital channels
  • Lead social media strategy, content planning, and community management
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance online visibility and reach
  • Design and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture relationships with target audiences
  • Support website optimization for improved user experience and conversion
  • Track emerging digital marketing trends and recommend innovative approaches
  • Collaborate with communications team on integrated marketing initiatives
  • Ensure digital content adheres to branding guidelines and security requirements
  • Develop digital analytics reports and presentations for leadership
  • Support digital aspects of events, webinars, and outreach activities
  • Create and manage digital advertising campaigns when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with demonstrated success in campaign management
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, strategies, and best practices
  • Experience with social media management for professional organizations
  • Proficiency with digital marketing analytics tools and data analysis
  • Knowledge of content marketing and audience engagement techniques
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign optimization
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM principles and website analytics
  • Excellent written communication skills for digital platforms
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into digestible digital content
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and content management systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience marketing in government, defense, or technology sectors
  • Knowledge of government social media policies and security requirements
  • Background in B2B or stakeholder-focused digital marketing
  • Experience with digital community building and engagement
  • Familiarity with digital event promotion and virtual event marketing
  • HubSpot, Marketo, or similar marketing automation certification
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms
  • Background in digital content creation including basic graphic design
  • Understanding of government approval processes for digital content
  • Experience with digital accessibility compliance
