Senior (Journeyman) Cybersecurity Engineer

Supports the documentation of current Enterprise and Systems Architectures and aids in developing secure solutions for future organizational needs. Responsibilities include gathering system requirements, designing secure IT systems, and assisting in security monitoring and deployment of security applications. Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, participating in threat modeling exercises and implementing security controls to reduce operational risks. Contributes to managing security architectures, firewalls, and network access, staying updated on security tools and technologies. Utilizes COTS and GOTS tools to perform vulnerability scans and supports remediation efforts. Assists in implementing government security policies and supporting the Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) process, following NIST 800-53 standards to help achieve IATT or ATO approval.
