In this role you will:
• Design and plan network communications systems.
• Maintain and update existing communication systems and networks.
• Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conduct testing of network design.
• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, etc.
• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 4+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.
An active TS/SCI with poly clearance is required PRIOR to start.

Basic Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks.
• Juniper and/or Cisco network equipment experience.
• Compliance with DOD 8140 IAT Level II, Holding Sec +, CISSP, CASP, or other DOD compliant certification (previously DoD 8570)
• Knowledge of Linux/RHEL environment
• An active TS/SCI with poly clearance is required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
• Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing
• Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
• Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) or higher level certifications
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, security knowledge, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, along with skills in areas like networking protocols, and scripting
• Previous experience with EVPN/VXLAN architecture

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
