Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as technical expert in the area of system administration for operating systems
- Implement upgrades to include software and application integration and hardware configuration
- Helps develop, document, communicate and enforce a systems and network technology policy
- Install and configure new hardware and software
- Monitor system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization
- Install patches and updates
- Configure changes supporting Group Policies changes
- Configure changes to support ICD 503 requirements
- Plan for necessary hardware or software to support system growth
- Manage user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the security systems according to security policy
- Provide support with escalated help desk request
- Mentor team members and educate users
Important skills, knowledge and abilities for this role:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows Workstation and Microsoft SQL
- Knowledge of VMware to support virtualization
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently or with a small team
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or similar, OR minimum 3 -5 years' experience
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (Preferred)
- CompTIA Server+ Certification (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (Preferred)
- Clearance Required - TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
