Position Summary
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in configuration management systems to serve as the CMPro Administrator and Data Manager. This role will oversee the configuration, administration, data population, and ongoing support of the CMPro application to ensure accurate configuration tracking, facility maintenance integration, and project decision support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in CMPro, strong data management skills, and the ability to support both engineering and maintenance processes.

Required Qualifications
Possess at least five (5) years of demonstrated relevant experience in systems engineering and system configuration management and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major study in engineering, physical science, mathematics, life sciences, computer science, or other fields of science.
Demonstrate effectiveness in managing programmatic and technical planning and execution of integrated performance and configuration control activities.
Demonstrate technical expertise, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to achieve organizational goals and customer expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems, engineering process and integrated life cycle management.
Demonstrate ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of functions and personnel in support of the CM process.
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement Configuration Management (CM) practices, procedures, and metrics that support operational and mission requirements, as measured by:
Development of standardized CM procedures and guidelines
Implementation of quantitative metrics to track CM performance (e.g., defect density, configuration accuracy)
Achievement of 90% or higher compliance with established CM procedures and guidelines
Successful integration of CM with other functional areas (e.g., engineering, logistics, testing)
Timely and effective support of operational and mission requirements through CM activities.

Education: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major study in engineering, physical science, mathematics, life sciences, computer science, or other field of science.

Security Clearance: TS with eligibility for SCI and NC2 access.

Key Responsibilities
CMPro Administration:
Manage CMPro user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate security and compliance with documented requirements.
Configure workflows, business rules, and data validation processes to ensure system integrity and alignment with engineering and project standards.
Monitor application performance and coordinate with IT or software support teams to resolve issues or implement enhancements.
Data Tailoring And Population
Customize CMPro data models, templates, and forms to meet project-specific configuration management needs.
Populate CMPro with initial configuration data including item masters, engineering drawings, technical documentation, and metadata.
Collaborate with engineers and program staff to ensure data input reflects current system designs and product baselines.
Ongoing Data Maintenance And Updates
Perform regular data validation, cleansing, and normalization to ensure consistency and integrity across all CMPro modules.
Update configuration records to reflect evolving requirements, scope changes, design updates, and maintenance activity.
Coordinate with engineering and logistics teams to ensure accuracy of change tracking and version control.
Facilities Maintenance Module Support
Support the rollout and configuration of the CMPro Facilities Maintenance Module to track and schedule maintenance activities.
Customize module settings to match operational requirements and input historical maintenance data and current schedules.
Develop and maintain structured maintenance procedures within CMPro aligned with engineering and facility guidelines.
Periodic Maintenance Cards & Master Schedule Support
Develop, update, and maintain periodic maintenance cards and corresponding master maintenance schedules in CMPro.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure alignment between maintenance documentation and actual tasks performed.
Reporting And Analytics
Design and maintain CMPro reports and dashboards to provide configuration and maintenance visibility to stakeholders.
Leverage Power BI and CMPro reporting tools to deliver actionable insights supporting program decisions and performance tracking.
Provide data extracts, metrics, and analysis for engineers, project managers, and leadership as needed.
Training And End User Support
Conduct CMPro training for new users and provide refresher sessions to existing users as required.
Develop training guides, job aids, and SOPs related to CMPro functionality, data entry, and reporting best practices.
Serve as the first line of support for CMPro questions, troubleshooting, and usage issues.
