The Garrett Group is currently in search of a Combat Air Operations Analyst for an upcoming contract, to undertake critical responsibilities at the Joint Center for Electromagnetic Readiness (JCER). This role primarily involves conducting routine assessments of service deployment certification events and mandatory prerequisite training vital for deployments in support of Combatant Commands (CCMDs). JCER accomplishes this through thorough evaluations of venues, events, and units, while adhering to established standards such as the Universal Joint Tasks (UJTs) and the EMOE Characterization Framework.

Qualifications for candidates include:

Required Experience:
  • Expertise specializing in fighter/attack combat aircraft; however, experience in a combat air force platform is acceptable.
  • Operational-level experience, with a preference for candidates with broader assignments at higher levels such as Joint, CCMD, or Service-level staff.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed mission analysis and integrating resources to determine capabilities necessary to meet the JCER mission.
  • Understanding of current service capabilities and tactics, with knowledge of vulnerabilities in the presence of threat EMSO to provide recommendations to Service or joint tactics, weapon schools, or publications based on findings of JCER evaluations.
  • A minimum of twelve (12) years of demonstrated relevant experience in an air combat operations unit.

Desired Experience:
  • Analyzing threat data and managing the receipt and dissemination of foreign intelligence information.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging EMSO threats to present findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on evaluation results.
  • Training and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly recommended for individuals lacking desired military leadership experience.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated relevant experience in an air combat operations unit.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting tactical, operational, and strategic-level research concerning the impact of existing and emerging EMSO threats to joint operations.
  • Preferably, experience conducting studies, performing research, reporting, and making recommendations concerning instrumentation and evaluation resources necessary to execute risk reduction and evaluation events, ensuring coordination of communications, logistics, materiel, data collection, and personnel training, issue and alternative definitions, and personnel requirements for each designated activity.
  • Collaborating with partnering agencies that share interests in support of data collection, reduction, or Joint EMS Operations (JEMSO) in conjunction with JCER evaluations.
