Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our IT/Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud-based systems and services. You’ll collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and IT professionals to support our cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP, or other commercial cloud platforms.
• Automate provisioning and management of cloud resources with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and scalability using cloud-native and third-party monitoring tools.
• Optimize cloud costs and improve system efficiency through resource management and autoscaling.
• Ensure security best practices across all cloud deployments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and software development teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application deployments.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
• Experience in cloud engineering or DevOps.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, cloud security, and system architecture.
• TS or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred Cloud certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Professional Cloud Engineer.
• An existing DoD 8570 Baseline IAT Certification; higher levels preferred.
• Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, etc.).
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring platforms like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• An adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph.
