Netrist seeks for an experienced Senior Virtualization Engineer to serve in an advisory and
evaluation role, providing strategic consulting services for program management offices (PMOs)
at USSTRATCOM. In this role, you will leverage your subject matter expertise to provide
reviews, reports, recommendations, and subject matter expertise in the design, implementation,
sustainment, and modernization of hyper-converged enterprise infrastructure solutions. You will
leverage your extensive enterprise virtualization experience primarily in environments utilizing
Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform, along with advanced Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure (VDI) technologies such as Omnissa, Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE.
In this critical role, you will provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to support
effective decision-making and ensure enterprise infrastructure aligns with organizational and
mission objectives. As the team's virtualization subject matter expert, your work will directly
impact the operational capabilities and efficiency of critical USSTRATCOM enterprise
infrastructures.

systems and problems into relatable concepts and simple frameworks that give decision makers

What you will do:
• Evaluate if the designs and implementations of maintain hyper-converged infrastructure
solutions align with operational and enterprise requirements.
• Provide strategic insight and recommendations pertaining to virtualization architecture,
deployment strategies, and system sustainability.
• Review complex VCF-based virtualization infrastructure and make recommendations to
improve reliability, scalability, and security compliance.
• Support engineering lifecycle activities, participating actively in capability assessments
and technical planning efforts.
• Leverage expertise in advanced VDI technologies (Horizon, App Volumes, Workspace
ONE) to enhance user experience and system performance.
• Develop and communicate technical assessments and recommendations to senior
leadership and decision-making authorities.
, • Collaborate with other engineering specialists to integrate virtualization solutions into
broader IT architectures.

• Deep expertise in hyper-converged infrastructure solutions, including specific proficiency
with VCF and compliance with rigorous DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Direct experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Omnissa solutions, as well as
Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE.
• Experience performing Systems Engineering Processes, including Requirements
Tradeoffs, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration
Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Review, Lifecycle
Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance/Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability,
Statement of Objectives, Systems Engineering Plans, Work Breakdown Structures, and
Technical Audits.
• At least one-year documented training or experience specifically designing, deploying,
and maintaining virtualization systems compliant with DoD cybersecurity policies and
regulations, including DoD 8500 series Directives and Instructions, DoD 8100 series
Directives, and CNSSI 1253.
• Senior-level knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, and
sustainment of hyper-converged enterprise virtualization solutions using Broadcom’s
VCF, Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
engineering discipline.
• 8+ Years as a Systems Engineer or related role.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Hold a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certifications from recognized
virtualization vendors.
