The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior VMware Server Administrator to serve as the primary point of contact for the management and optimization of the VMware infrastructure to support USSTRATCOM's mission-critical operations. This role involves oversight of virtualized environments, ensuring high availability, security and performance of virtual machines and associated resources.
The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior VMware Server Administrator to serve as the primary point of contact for the management and optimization of the VMware infrastructure to support USSTRATCOM's mission-critical operations. This role involves oversight of virtualized environments, ensuring high availability, security and performance of virtual machines and associated resources.

Responsibilities:
Server Administrator (VMware), Senior:
- Oversees the deployment, management, and optimization of virtualized server environments using VMware technologies
- Installs, configures, and maintains VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Server
- Performs virtual machine provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management and ensures the availability, scalability, and security of the virtual infrastructure.
- Optimizes resource allocation within the virtual environment to ensure performance and efficiency
- Monitors the health and performance of virtual servers using tools such as vRealize Operations Manager
- Applies patches, updates, and firmware upgrades to VMware hosts and virtual machines
- Performs regular backups and snapshots of virtual machines for disaster recovery purposes
- Ensures compliance with change management processes during maintenance activities
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others
Qualifications:
- Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in VMware administration, with at least 3 years at a senior level
- Required 8140 Certwithin 6 months of start date: 451 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training
AND
- Additional Cert: VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
- Extensive knowledge of VMware products and technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
