About the Role:
The team is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a fast-paced team responsible for building and maintaining critical infrastructure in secure environments. This role goes far beyond routine maintenance—you’ll lead the configuration, deployment, and optimization of systems that support national security operations.
You’ll work across Windows and Linux platforms, manage VMware environments, and implement network security solutions. Ideal candidates will bring a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving, along with a passion for automation, security compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Primary Responsibilities:
Systems Administration & Virtualization
●Maintain and optimize Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs
●Manage VMware infrastructure (vSphere, Horizon, VDI)
●Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions
Network Administration & Security Compliance
●Administer and troubleshoot Cisco or Juniper networking equipment
●Maintain and enhance firewall security, VPN configurations, and network segmentation
●Ensure compliance with STIGs, RMF, and NIST frameworks
Automation & Scripting
●Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
●Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration
Mission-Critical Support & Problem Solving
●Provide hands-on support for deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting
●Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system reliability
●Identify and resolve system vulnerabilities to improve infrastructure performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Mentorship
●Work with developers, security teams, and system architects to align infrastructure with business needs
●Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of knowledge-sharing
Required Experience:
●Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance (non-negotiable)
●5–12 years experience in system administration, network administration, or cloud operations
Proficiency in:
●Windows & Linux system administration
●VMware (vSphere, Horizon, VDI)
●Networking fundamentals (Cisco, Juniper) – CCNA-level preferred
●Security & Compliance: RMF, STIGs, NIST frameworks
●Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Preferred Experience:
●Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, OCI)
●Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP
●Security certifications like CISSP, Security+, CASP
●Experience working in product-driven or high-growth tech environments (e.g., Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Juniper)
