The Opportunity:
S eeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for building, configuring, maintaining, and fielding complex networking and satellite communications equipment. Establishes satellite communications network architecture for use by multiple customers and consumers. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, virtual machines, COMSEC, etc. Travel up to 50% to setup, train, instruct and interact with customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, configure, test classified network equipment
  • Subject matter expert in the deployment of satellite communications systems of all types, to include link initialization, troubleshooting, optimization
  • Assists with developing training plans and operational procedures
  • Train customers on the proper use of equipment, to include Virtual Machines, VoIP's, COMSEC, HAIPE compliant inline network encryptors
  • Ensures security policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed accordingly
  • Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with customers during the installation, operation, fielding, and instructing of the equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot any issues to isolate faults, maximize network performance, and track bandwidth


Qualifications:

Required:
  • A n active DoD TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • BA/BS with at least 3 years' experience or 7 years of experience with no BA/BS degree
  • CompTIA networking experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.


Desired:
  • Experience working in a DoD Contracting Environment
  • Military Intelligence experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200 - 158,100 USD
