Job Overview:
Headquarters, Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) is responsible for preparing operational Deltas for the continuum of conflict in space operations focusing on the space domain and enabling the Joint Force. This position resides in the Future Operations (FuOps) Division, or S35, working to conceptualize the force SpOC needs to meet our strategic priorities and stay ahead of our strategic rivals. Force design and resourcing recommendations must be fully burdened to incorporate combat mission requirements, to include, but not limited to: new operating concepts, as well as requirements for manpower, command-and control, intelligence, networks, cyber defense, test and training infrastructure, sustainment, and facilities. As the executive agent for weapons system sustainment, S35 will ensure SpOC forces are equipped with the training, infrastructure, and support systems to maintain operational readiness.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Identify the risks and benefits to current and future projects and activities related to CJADC2/DAF Battle Network using quantitative measures such as cost, schedule and performance metrics, and qualitative measures such as stakeholder satisfaction, user feedback and lessons learned.
Consider the potential impacts of CJADC2/DAF Battle Network on the strategic, operational, and tactical levels of space operations and communicate findings to the staff.
Identify, implement, monitor and technological improvements for DAF Battle Network/SDA & C2 Division/SpOC HQ
Assist in planning Joint/All-domain/Combined events, exercises, and experiments such as SPACE FLAG 24’-Concept Development Event (CDE), FlashPoint, and US Army’s Project Convergence (PC).
Provide subject matter expertise and assist with the development of plans and strategies to support Space C2 efforts.
Coordinate with partners to ensure that SpOC’s needs and priorities are accurately represented and addressed. Partners include: USSPACECOM, C3BM, SSC, S4S, CSpOC, NSDC, Operational Deltas, CMCC, HQ Space Force staff, and SpOC staff offices.
Requirements:
TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor’s degree
10 years of space experience
--4 years space operational-/strategic-level C2 experience
--3 years requirements development experience
Proficiency in the following NSDC and CSpOC operations: Ops C2 requirements development/CBA/AoA processes; identifying requirements/ acquisition/budgeting process interdependencies; JCIDS process and staffing products
Proficiency in application of emerging concepts to system development to include CJADC2
Knowledge of “Spacepower Disciplines” and the associated program requirements; Orbital Warfare, Space Electromagnetic Warfare, Battle Management, Space Access and Sustainment, Military Intelligence, Engineering and Acquisition and Cyber Operations.
Knowledge of Space Domain Awareness and Space C2 CONOPS
Knowledge of operational-/strategic-level/STO C2 structures; C2/space control functional/operating/system concepts and new systems concepts development process; UCI/OMS-Space initiatives; tactical, operational, and strategic C2 operational and development stakeholders
Knowledge of operations transition and fielding requirements; current USSF initiatives, including SEV; Model Based System Engineering (MBSE); HQ SpOC Program Security Classification Guides.
