GENERAL EXPERIENCE : - Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to take measurements, make patterns and layouts, mark, cut, fit and sew or cement parts together, using hand or power tools and equipment and knowledge of fabrics and constructions methods.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training reading and interpreting designs and blueprints, technical manuals, and prints, and drawing individual patterns, making alterations or adjustments to difficult patterns. Experience computing dimensions, lay out circles, angles, curves and irregular shapes. Experience planning, laying out, altering and constructing different, new or one-of-a-kind items. Experience applying mathematical principles such those used in the calculation and measurement of fabric. Experience operating, repairing, and maintaining sewing machines, punch presses and other related equipment. Experience using a variety of hand and power tools and measuring devices such as flexible measuring tapes, straight and curved rules, protractors, compasses, dividers, squares, patterns and templates

Conditions of Employment
