Overview

The Work:

The System Administrator will provide technical support to end users, monitor system performance, and resolve software issues. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support to end users: monitoring system performance, troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues, optimizing network performance, managing system backups and recovery processes, and implementing necessary upgrades and patches.
  • Install, configure, administer, manage, and maintain network infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and Windows physical and virtual server environments/operating systems
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems, networks, and applications: including creating, enabling, provisioning and deactivating user accounts
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications - Here's What You Need:
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a related role
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent tasks, projects, and priorities to meet customer deadlines
  • Experience with managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems, networks, and applications: including creating, enabling, provisioning and deactivating user accounts
  • A strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP)
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Excellent organizational skills in maintaining documentation of system configurations and procedures, and providing reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community or a DoD, Army, or Joint Staff classified program
  • Experience as a U.S. Army Information Management Officer and/or coordinating across multiple organizations including Signal Brigades, Army offices, INSCOM, DoD CIO, DIA, GISA, NEC
  • Experience with unified communications (VoIP Phones, DVTC, VTC) installation, configuration, and management
  • Familiarity with database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS)
  • Ability to assist in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new technology deployments
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with team members, government clients, and stakeholders across teams to problem solve and recommend and implement system improvements
  • Experience with Kanban, Agile, or project management applications and methodologies
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Network+, or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification(s)

Working Conditions:
  • Professional office environment.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.

  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range

USD $113,000.00 - USD $127,000.00 /Yr.
