Due Diligence Technician at DLS Engineering (on-site Colorado Springs, CO)
DLS Engineering (DLS) is seeking a Due Diligence Technician to join our team supporting the USSPACECOM sensitive activities staff in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in sensitive activities and programs. You will provide sensitive activities augmentation to the Government staff in the execution of the Combatant Command sensitive activities program. USSPACECOM requires a high level of knowledge on a wide breadth of space systems in support of signature reduction implementation in worldwide operations.
A Day in the Life:
- Execute each four due diligence assessments (DDA) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) policy throughout the operational lifecycle.
- Deliver comprehensive written reports and verbal briefs that clearly articulate findings and recommendations to decision makers.
- Apply identity management protocols to assess risk to personnel and missions and provide mitigation strategies to decision makers.
- Conduct open-source research, as directed by the client, in preparation for due diligence and threat assessments.
- Apply operation security (OPSEC) protocols to research, data storage, transmission, and report writing. Report significant events / incidents.
- Identify mission critical vulnerabilities, assessing risk to mission, and providing mitigation strategies to decision makers.
- Maintain currency on key technologies and capabilities, to include ubiquitous technical surveillance, that impacts sensitive activity missions.

- Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance with ability to be Special Access Program (SAP) cleared.
- 2+ years Combatant experience and working knowledge of organization and processes.
- Sensitive Activities Courses: Foundations of Sensitive Support or Advanced Technician Course, Advanced Planners Course, Due Diligence Course.
- Must be able to pass a government background check.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Travel may be required.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of sensitive activities experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master's degree.
- Possess a high level of knowledge on a wide breadth of space systems.
- Information technology experience: CompTIA: A+, Network+, Security+.

- The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, the salary will be set based on experience and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
