As a Liaison Officer, you will serve as the on-site representative for the Director, DoD CIO, National Leadership Command Capabilities (NLCC) Management Office (NMO). Your role is crucial in supporting the execution of the DoD CIO's Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) responsibilities and policies.

As a Liaison Officer, you will serve as the on-site representative for the Director, DoD CIO, National Leadership Command Capabilities (NLCC) Management Office (NMO). Your role is crucial in supporting the execution of the DoD CIO's Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) responsibilities and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Facilitation: Act as the primary point of contact between the NMO and CCMD leadership and staff, utilizing classified voice, video, and data communications.
- Task Management: Proactively complete NMO assignments by leveraging expertise available at the CCMD location, fostering daily interactions and relationships to advance the mission.
- Advisory Role: Provide guidance to CCMD leadership on Director, NMO equities and key issues.
- Exercise Participation: Engage in local exercises and planning meetings involving NMO equities, offering NC3 and NMO subject matter expertise.
- Reporting: Brief the Director, NMO monthly on the status of current projects, CCMD concerns, and upcoming events or planned briefings.
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Education: Master's degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 15+ years of related experience.
- Staff Experience: Senior-level staff experience at CCMDs, OSD, Joint Staff, military department staffs, military service staffs, or component command staff.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of DoD organization, joint doctrine, and joint requirements. Familiarity with nuclear command and control (NC2) and nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3) systems.
- Skills: Exceptional writing and briefing skills. Comfortable interacting with senior-level officials. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience: Prior experience at the selected CCMD.
- Education: Joint Professional Military Education (Joint and Combined Warfighting School, Joint Advanced Warfighting School).
- Role Experience: Previous experience as a liaison officer.
