Responsibilities
In this position, you will be serving as a technical liaison among engineers, scientists, analysts, and non-technical personnel while managing data operations using AWS services, SQL databases, and network-attached storage (NAS). Responsibilities include creating automated deployment scripts, leading large-scale data migrations, and maintaining ETL processes with tools like Apache Nifi. The position requires expertise in test-driven development on secure on-premises clusters using languages such as Java, Python, or SQL, and managing large-scale compute clusters like Hadoop.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience serving as a technical liaison between system engineers, data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and non-technical managers and personnel.
- Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services, including long-term storage options, and cloud-based database services such as Databricks or Elastic MapReduce (EMR).
- Demonstrated experience with SQL database structures and mapping between SQL databases.
- Demonstrated experience with network attached storage (NAS).
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining automated deployment scripts.
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale data migration efforts.
- Demonstrated experience with large scale data compute or processing clusters such as Hadoop.
- Demonstrated experience with test-driven development on top of a secure on-premise cluster using the most efficient languages for the task such as Apache Nifi, Java, Python or SQL.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining, supporting, and improving the ETL process through the implementation and standardization of data flows with Apache Nifi and other ETL tools.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience using standardized systems to procure required items.
- Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's data environment and on-premises compute structure.
- Demonstrated experience in storage and backup recovery systems.
- Demonstrated experience with Data Quality and Data Governance concepts and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with System administration and Linux administration.
- Demonstrated experience transforming data through high capacity compute (HCC) techniques.
- Demonstrated experience administering system rights and responsibilities for Sponsor's on-premises cluster and cloud infrastructure.
