AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a Technical Writer Level 3 to support our customer in the Columbia, MD area. The candidate will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining critical programmatic documentation. They should have extensive experience in technical writing for government programs and contracts, with a strong ability to ensure compliance with approved government templates and formats.
This role requires close collaboration with program managers, engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to create clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation that effectively supports program objectives.
Mission: As a Technical Writer on this government program, you will be providing support for this important government agency.
Location: Columbia, Maryland
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline from an accredited college or university and Ten (10) years of related experience.
Strong experience writing and editing technical and programmatic documentation.
Proficiency with government-approved templates and documentation standards.
Ability to interpret and document technical and engineering concepts.
Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and document management systems.
Familiarity with government acquisition processes, cybersecurity strategies, and systems engineering principles.
Desired Requirements
Knowledge of DoD policies, acquisition lifecycle, and technical documentation best practices.
Familiarity with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and lifecycle sustainment documentation.
Certification in Technical Writing, Project Management, or Systems Engineering.
Education and Required Qualification
Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline from an accredited college or university and Ten (10) years of demonstrated combined experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Travel
Less than 10% of travel may occur.
