The Opportunity:
CACI seeks a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our team supporting NavalX within the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Our multi-disciplinary program requires an experienced technical expertise who understands complex requirements and can devise solutions to meet demanding customer needs. This position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with customers, build relationships, and ensure CACI delivers the highest quality technical support within a cost constrained environment. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, integrate, and maintain sensor/unmanned systems and System of Systems (SoS)
- Conduct engineering evaluations, inspections, and system tests to verify compliance with mission requirements.
- Managed cross-functional collaborations with stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration and sustainment for US Navy platforms both manned and unmanned.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure system compatibility and performance.
- Conduct simulations, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and field trials to validate system performance.
- Conduct System Operation Verification Tests (SOVT) on board US Navy and MSC surface vessels to include system training and familiarization
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on unmanned systems and SoS
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations
- Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of aerodynamics, flight controls, and propulsion systems.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
- 10-15 years of experience supporting engineering projects for the DoD, specifically US Navy
- Experience with sensor/unmanned System of Systems (SoS)
- Experienced in executing as engineering lead and leading small team of engineers.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
