Overview
Bowhead seeks a Sytems Engineer to work on hypersonic projectiles research and developement to support the efforts of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, VA..
Responsibilities
• Create/review/adjust Systems Engineering Plans.
• Provide engineering designs and integration designs for weapon integration for current naval platforms.
• Present engineering designs to high level government officials in formal presentations.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years professional technical experience which includes at least four (4) years specialized experience performing mechanical, electrical, aerospace,
industrial, systems, or computer engineering.
• Engineering experiences should include:
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
