Your Mission

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support a high-impact intelligence mission, developing innovative solutions that drive insight from complex data. Your work will directly contribute to analytics supporting national security and intelligence efforts. In this fast-paced, data-driven environment, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, develop prototypes to answer new questions, and refine existing solutions to provide better answers. Your expertise will play a vital role in developing scalable analytics, enhancing mission understanding, and advancing analytic capabilities.

A Day in the Life Of:
- Develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in a Linux environment (Red Hat version 7+)
- Design and implement prototypes that answer new questions and refine existing answers
- Create analytics supporting survey and intelligence value assessments
- Collaborate with analysts, systems engineers, and developers to create integrated, scalable solutions
- Provide software engineering support including installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting
Must Have:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or High school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience (with in-depth related experience)
- Strong proficiency in:
- Java MapReduce
- Python
- Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Hive, Pig
- Distributed NoSQL technologies such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, BigTable
- RESTful service development
- JSON/BSON serialization
- Linux (Red Hat)
- GitLab
- Atlassian Jira
Nice to Have:
- Experience with:
- Tech/team leadership
- SIGINT analysis
- Maven
- Agile development processes, including Kanban
- JavaScript, Bash scripting
