Job Description
Ennoble First is seeking a Software Engineer to support the NextGen OPIR Ground Solution. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications that support critical mission operations. This role requires expertise in software development, debugging, documentation, and applying best practices throughout the software development life cycle.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software solutions for the NextGen OPIR Ground Solution.
- Apply software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Resolve software defects, optimize code functionality, and enhance system reliability.
- Conduct software integration, validation, and verification.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating instructions, and design specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine software requirements.
- Support DevSecOps practices by integrating automation and CI/CD pipelines into software development.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 9+ years' experience.
- Experience with C++, Java, and Qt framework (GUI development).
- Knowledge of pub/sub messaging architectures.
- Experience working in Linux environments and using PostgreSQL databases.
- Proficiency in Ansible scripting and experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and multi-threaded applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or additional programming languages.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, or cloud-based architectures.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman).
- Knowledge of machine learning models and applications is a plus.
- Experience working with classified environments and government contracts.
