Position requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph
VOIP Engineer (**Understand this is listed as a Systems Engineer but the skill set is primarily Network-centric.)
Work as part of a collaborative, multidiscipline team in support of U.S. Government and provide technical subject matter expertise in the field of systems and network engineering.
• Strong background designing and implementing Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP Networking
• Advanced experience with Voice and Video technologies
• Experience configuring and trouble-shooting LAN Switches, Routers, and Firewalls and VPN concentrators.
• Ability to convey technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences and provide briefings to high-level government personnel.
• Experience in authoring documents (reports, briefings, etc,) to support customer missions.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and meet client requirements.
1. • Strong background in Microsoft Systems Engineering and providing support to those systems.
2. • Strong knowledge of virtualization products with a focus on Hyper-V.
3. • Proficiency in scripting languages with a focus on PowerShell.
4. • Experience with McAfee product suite.
5. • Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas, concepts, and thoughts across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. • Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions.Must have knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching, and network architecture planning.
7. • Must have knowledge of remote administration and secure Virtual Private Networking.
8. • Must understand commercial encryption standards and their application in IP networking.
9. • Must have knowledge of VPN technologies, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IP Multicasting
10. • Must have knowledge of voice and video solutions to include Cisco, Polycom, and Avaya configuration management and endpoint management including SIP and H.323 protocols.
11. • 7-10 years of relevant experience designing communications systems.
12. • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
13. • Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills
14. • Ability to work independently as well as within small and large groups
15. • Capable of preparing and presenting briefings
16. • Experience with Microsoft Office product line, including Microsoft Access; experience with Lotus Notes
1. • Knowledge of Cisco and PolyCom VTC technology
2. • An understanding of Private Branch Exchange telephony
3. • An ability to navigate and configure Linux operating systems
4. • An understanding of wired data transport mediums to include Category 5e/6 and fiber optics.
5. • Prior deployment to foreign field areas in support of customer mission
6. • Prior experience communicating official traffic in the customer Electronic Messaging System (EMS)
7. • Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, MCSE
8. • Familiar with military communications
9. • Familiar with satellite and wireless communications.
