As a Windows Systems Engineer, you will work as part of a small team and lead the full life cycle of-going systems enhancements and bug fixes

Your responsibilities will include duties such as the following:

• Providing a high quality, secure , and resilient infrastructure that supports the customers' business needs
• Creating, modifying and maintaining Windows Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for the enterprise (this includes updates based on security needs, user change requests and internal performance adjustments)
• Recognizing and recommending new or emerging technology or software to satisfy functional requirements and processes
• Providing highly technical and/or specialized guidance concerning automation solutions to complex information processing problems related to the subject field
• Performing quality control check planning, integration, validation of field deployment via applications, patches security updates and other customer deployments
• Performing script verification checks, reviewing event logs, reviewing back logs, training and documentation maintenance
• Navigating in development and production systems for validation purposes of engineering scripts
• Providing technical guidance, training and leadership for current and new operations and engineering personnel
• Providing Tier 3 and Tier 4 technical support and leadership in a complex, mission critical windows based environment

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge and hands on experience with Windows 10
• Strong experiences with creating, modifying, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting Windows Group Policy Objects
• Hands on experience with Microsoft System Configuration Manager (SCCM and MECM,) MDT and OSD deployment methods
• Experience in scripting languages (i.e. Powershell)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience with VMWare and Hyper-V
• Understanding of the engineering life cycle, including requirements gathering, solutions design, testing, documentation and implementation
• Knowledge in multiple current technology areas, including client (thick and Thin) and server computer operating systems networking hardware, protocols, and administration and systems integration across multi-tiered highly security IT environments
• Solid troubleshooting skills
• Ability to self - learn act on own initiative and work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Other duties as needed to support the mission

Education

Candidate must have a minimum of one of the following

• 10 years of job related experience and HS diploma GED
• 8 years job related experience and associates
• 4-7 years job related experience and a bachelors
• 3 years job related experience and Masters Degree
• 2 years job related and PhD
