We’re hiring a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer II to support a mission-critical Department of State program in Washington, DC. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on cloud security architecture, DevSecOps automation, and securing enterprise cloud environments. Key details: • Location: Washington, DC (5 days/week onsite) • Clearance: Active Secret required • Salary: $156K – $178K • Contract: Base + 4 option years (through 2030) What we’re looking for: • 8+ years in cybersecurity or cloud engineering (5+ years cloud security) • Deep experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP • Strong hands-on work with native cloud security tools (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, etc.) • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep) and CI/CD security integration • Experience with IAM/RBAC, KMS, networking (VPC/VNET), encryption • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CIS Benchmarks Nice to have: • GovCloud / DoD IL6 experience • Kubernetes & container security • Zero Trust / enterprise identity platforms • Cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security, CISSP, etc.) Interview process is straightforward (Hiring Manager/Technical + Prime).
