Kentro is hiring a Senior Data Security Engineer to support the USSOCOM EDAT Zero Trust initiative. This role is focused on securing complex, multi‑domain data environments across NIPR, SIPR, and TS networks. You will architect, deploy, and manage advanced data protection capabilities to safeguard mission‑critical intelligence. As the lead SME for Microsoft Azure security, you will design and tune solutions using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud Apps (MCAS), Entra ID, and Conditional Access. You will also implement and enforce Trellix Full Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and manage Active Directory Rights Management (AD‑RMS) and Azure RMS to ensure persistent data protection. This role includes driving catalog‑level integration across platforms such as Palantir, Microsoft Unified Catalog, and Purview Audit, ensuring metadata alignment and end‑to‑end data security. You will collaborate with mission owners to refine classifiers and DLP rules, reducing false positives and strengthening protection of sensitive USSOCOM data. Location: Hybrid, Tampa, FL Clearance: TS/SCI Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Required: • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or qualifying certifications) • 10+ years in enterprise systems engineering or cybersecurity • Expert‑level experience in Azure security architecture • Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Purview, Defender XDR, MCAS, Entra ID, and Conditional Access • Proven experience with Trellix DLP and Palantir catalog integrations • Strong background with AD‑RMS, Azure RMS, data rights management, and enterprise cataloging • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP+, CCSP, or CISM) Preferred: • Advanced KQL or SPL experience • Strong understanding of storage protocols and SQL/NoSQL environments Join Kentro and help secure critical data for one of the nation’s most mission‑focused organizations.
