Our client is seeking an Entry-Level Hardware Technician to provide Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment in the Ft. Meade area. The Hardware Technician will play a key role in maintaining and supporting mission-critical IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth operation across a secure environment. Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, and peripherals • Install and configure computer and network hardware, software, and associated cabling • Conduct site surveys and document site configurations and requirements • Prepare installation schedules, documentation, and site reports • Train site personnel in proper use and maintenance of hardware • Maintain government or vendor-manufactured fiber optic modems, multiplexers, and telephone systems • Support network upgrade projects and end-user connectivity needs • Follow standard operating procedures, including ticketing and documentation Required Skills & Qualifications: • Active clearance required • Must be 8570/CWIP compliant with A+, Network+, or Security+ certification • Strong hands-on skills in hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 6 AM–6 PM, as determined by management If you hold an active clearance and are looking to grow your career in IT hardware support, I’d love to connect and share more about this opportunity.
