Weeghman & Briggs is seeking a System Engineer 1 to join a new contract. The System Engineer I will support the analysis, design, and implementation of complex systems in a mission-focused environment. In this role, you’ll analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures to develop system requirements specifications and guide system design and development activities. You’ll collaborate closely with users, engineers, and government stakeholders to refine requirements, evaluate alternatives, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure technical integrity across deliverables. Responsibilities include developing system architecture and design documentation, supporting system integration and test planning, and contributing to Systems Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, ICDs, and related documentation. The ideal candidate will assist in managing system and derived requirements, allocating requirements to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components, and supporting configuration management activities such as CCBs, design reviews, and test reviews. You’ll participate in Integrated Product Teams, help define verification methods and evaluation criteria, and support lifecycle activities from concept through deployment. Experience with DoDAF, SOA concepts, requirements derivation, interface definition, and technical documentation is desired.
