This role supports high-impact studies on operator cognition, workload, decision-making, and system usability in secure environments. Key Work: • Lead mixed-methods research with cleared operators (interviews, observations, usability studies). • Conduct qualitative coding, cognitive task analyses, workload assessment, and quantitative modeling. • Translate findings into validated system requirements, personas, scenarios, and performance metrics. • Prepare clear reports and briefings for government sponsors. • Collaborate with engineering, HCI, and data-science teams. • Ensure compliance with SCI and human-subjects protocols. • Mentor junior researchers and serve as technical lead. Requirements: • Master’s or PhD in Human Factors, Experimental/Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or related field. • Master’s: 2–7 yrs experience; PhD: 1–5 yrs. • Proven experience leading research or government-sponsored projects. • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills (R, Python, NVivo, etc.). • Ability to convert human-system data into actionable design recommendations. • Active TS/SCI or eligibility.
