Software Engineer • TS/SCI Eligible • B.S. in Computer Eng/Science, Aerospace. Eng, or applicable Eng or science field. • 3 yrs of hands-on pro exp w/Degree or 7 yrs hands-on pro exp w/out Degree. • Demonstrated hands-on exp within the last 5 years supporting Group 1 and/or Group 2 UxS through software dev, integration, testing, and/or mission support preferred. Exp supporting Group 3 UxS within the last 5 years may be considered. • Exp with commercially available UxS is desirable. • Proficient in C, C++ and object-oriented software development methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to deliver working production software in an agile dev environment. • Extensive knowledge of autonomous navigation and path planning techniques: waypoint navigation, geofencing, dynamic routing, obstacle avoidance, and collision detection algorithms. • Extensive knowledge in BetaFlight, ArduPilot, and Px 4- 5 years. • Exp with sensor fusion techniques (e.g., combining data from IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDAR) to enhance situational awareness and navigation accuracy. • Exp working with ground control software such as QGroundControl for mission planning, execution, and monitoring. • Exp with the Qt/QML framework for developing user friendly graphical interfaces. • Familiarity with MAVLink protocol for communication between UAVs and ground stations. • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation, data analysis, and prototyping tasks. • Strong understanding of data networking concepts, including TCP/IP protocols. • Proven ability to troubleshoot network communication issues. • Skilled in parsing and reverse engineering complex codebases (e.g., C++, Python) to identify subtle errors in data communications within hardware and software systems. • Experience with CAD • Demonstrated ability to fully build target SW from source files
