We are seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to serve as a member of the Production team.
Key Responsibilities
As the Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:
• The Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer supports a US DoW/DoD agency, specializing in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures to give the agency and its partners the freedom and flexibility to maximize productivity while achieving cost savings.
• Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions
• Identify appropriate cloud providers
• Ensure the cloud network is properly sized and responsive to user demands
• Scale cloud services to serve growing demands
• Liaise with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans
• Monitor usage of cloud network
• Implement effective security strategies on cloud networks
• Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover capabilities
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
• Build infrastructure automation to ensure rapid delivery of system and application updates
• Carry out testing and fine-tuning to ensure optimal efficiency
• Provide architectural vision, strategy & roadmap and work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions
Qualifications
• Have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Must have 1, or more, years of directly related experience
• Must understand cloud delivery models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
• Must have experience with enterprise server operating systems/environments (i.e. RHEL 7 and/or 8; Windows Server 2019 and/or higher)
• Must have experience with implementing Cybersecurity best practices
• Must have DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math
Preferred Certifications
• Azure, AWS, and/or Cloud Certified Solution Architect Certification
