Sr Project Manager (GenAI)

Our client, located in Springfield, OH, is currently in need of a Sr Project Manager for a 3 month contract. The consultant will work onsite to manage, coordinate and execute large-scale Generative AI (GenAI) infrastructure deployments across data center and enterprise environments. This role drives project execution by managing schedules, resources, deployment activities, and stakeholder alignment to ensure AI platforms are delivered, installed, validated, and transitioned to operations successfully.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that works closely with engineers, deployment technicians, vendors, and customer teams to remove blockers, manage risks, and maintain project momentum throughout the deployment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end execution of GenAI infrastructure deployment projects, from planning through operational handoff.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, deployment plans, milestones, and status reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders to support deployment readiness and execution.
• Manage deployment logistics, including resource scheduling, equipment deliveries, inventory tracking, and site readiness activities.
• Monitor project progress, track dependencies and risks, and drive resolution of issues impacting delivery.
• Oversee infrastructure deployment activities, including rack integration, server installation, GPU deployment, networking, validation, remediation, and commissioning.
• Facilitate project communications, stakeholder reviews, and deployment status meetings.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, operational, and documentation standards.
• Support customer acceptance testing and transition of completed environments to operations teams.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing data center, cloud, infrastructure, AI, or technology deployment projects.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, and execution skills.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, contractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of server, networking, storage, and infrastructure deployment processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in fast-paced deployment environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Work schedule must be flexible includings nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, GPU, or high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure deployments.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA GPU platforms, rack-and-stack operations, structured cabling, and data center deployment practices.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure implementation or commissioning projects.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $60 - 80 per hour
