Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while demonstrating the agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity that define Allied Universal.

Day Time Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, including buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain required qualifications for armed duties and complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
