Professional Continuing Education Instructor (BUILDER)

OVERVIEW

Streamline Defense is seeking a Civil Engineering Professional Continuing Education (PCE) Instructor with a focus on BUILDER to support the Air Force Institute of Technology Civil Engineer School (AFIT/CE) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

AFIT/CE is the Air Force's sole provider of professional continuing education in civil engineering. The school offers more than 80 courses and seminars, ranging from two days to 10 weeks, across technical civil engineering, environmental, engineering management, and housing disciplines. More than 12,000 students from the Department of the Air Force, DoD, and other federal agencies attend each year in resident, on-site, and distance learning formats.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop PCE courses for joint service active duty, Reserve, and National Guard officers, enlisted members, and civilians at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
• Develop, maintain, and teach course material in residence, on site, and through distance learning, documenting lectures, notes, presentations, and assignments to maintain continuity and support knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate course offerings, document courses in accordance with Air Force and AFIT policy, and conduct post-offering assessments.
• Work with course sponsors, subject matter experts, and instructional systems designers to identify education needs and build content that meets curriculum standards and is approved by course leadership.
• Instruct in classroom and distance learning environments, with travel (TDY) to other sites as required to teach or develop curriculum.
• Advise Air Force military and civilian personnel as a subject matter expert in civil engineering business processes and business information systems.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and technical interchanges as directed by the Government.
• Deliver courseware in civil engineering subject matter and related business information systems, with primary emphasis on BUILDER. Related subject matter includes PAVER, TRIRIGA, Enterprise Sustainment Management System (eSMS), cost estimating, funds management, and cultural resources management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
• MS/MA degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• 15 years of applied experience in Air Force civil engineering processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of Air Force civil engineering processes, procedures, policies, and techniques, and of CE Business Information Systems
• Hands-on experience with BUILDER

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with PAVER, TRIRIGA, eSMS, cost estimating, or funds management
• Prior instructor or curriculum development experience, including distance learning
