What You'll Do
IronArch Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Dynamics to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You will work on a VA program that modernizes access to VA data and services through secure, reliable, scalable application programming interfaces (APIs), improving how Veterans, partners, and internal VA teams reach the information they depend on.
You will join a team of three to four developers that owns Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions and the APIs that connect them to VA.gov and other systems, from design and development through integration, documentation, and ongoing maintenance. This is a hands-on engineering role working primarily in C#/.NET, in close partnership with the technical lead, engineering lead, and API architect. Because this work connects VA systems to each other and to external consumers, security, backward compatibility, and clear documentation are part of the job, not an afterthought.
Responsibilities
CRM & API Development
• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM customizations, including C#/.NET plugins, workflows, and configurations.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs that connect CRM with VA.gov and other systems.
• Design and maintain SQL Server data structures that support CRM functionality.
• Track Dynamics 365 Wave releases and apply relevant updates to maintain system performance.
Quality, Security & Operations
• Support CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and enforce secure coding practices.
• Partner with QA engineers to expand automated test coverage for CRM integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with VA requirements.
Collaboration
• Engage stakeholders to understand needs, communicate progress, and align CRM solutions with program objectives.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on full-stack development.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and C#/.NET development.
• Experience with SQL Server for backend data management.
• Proficiency with ReactJS and TypeScript for frontend enhancements and system integrations.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and enterprise system integration.
• Familiarity with Azure for hosting and deployment.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices, including GitHub Actions, secure code scanning, and containerization.
• Experience delivering software in iterative Scrum sprints.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot as a working tool for code generation, refactoring, test writing, and documentation.
• Able to set an example for the team on where AI tools help and where they do not.
Preferred Experience
• Kubernetes and Helm.
• Operating services under a continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) or similar Federal compliance model.
• Working in a complex multi-vendor Federal program.
Clearance Requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Why IronArch Technology?
• Competitive compensation and market-leading bonus opportunities.
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits with a significant portion of premiums subsidized by IronArch, plus Health Reimbursement Account contributions for qualifying high-deductible plans.
• Healthcare concierge service that explains your coverage in plain language, helps you find and schedule quality care, and resolves billing and claims issues.
• 401(k) with immediate entry and vesting: IronArch matches 100% of the first 3% you contribute and 50% of the next 2%.
• 20 days of PTO per calendar year, plus 11 paid holidays.
• Bereavement, jury duty, parental (maternity, paternity, and adoption), and military leave.
• Sabbatical programs.
• Company-paid short- and long-term disability and life insurance.
• Voluntary life, accidental, and indemnity income replacement benefits.
• Professional development and health club reimbursement.
• Matching donation program and annual philanthropic activities.
• Pet insurance.
