You will work closely with business process analysts, automation developers, engineers, and mission stakeholders to improve data quality, develop analytical solutions, and integrate proven capabilities into secure operational workflows.

Your work will directly support efforts to reduce manual processes, improve operational visibility, increase accuracy, and enable better-informed decisions.

What You'll Do
• Translate mission and business requirements into practical data science solutions with measurable success criteria.
• Prepare, reconcile, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
• Develop repeatable and well-documented data preparation pipelines.
• Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) to solve real-world operational challenges.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues across complex datasets.
• Develop, test, and evaluate analytical and machine-learning models using meaningful baselines, feature engineering, validation, and error analysis.
• Partner with automation developers and engineers to integrate analytics and ML capabilities into secure production workflows.
• Document model assumptions, limitations, methodology, and performance.
• Monitor analytical and model performance following deployment.
• Develop clear visualizations and communicate findings to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Leverage approved AI and automation tools while validating outputs and protecting sensitive information.
• Contribute technical knowledge across the team and proactively identify delivery risks or technical challenges.

Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and ability to maintain required access.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in a SCIF in either Reston, VA or the National Harbor, MD area.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data science, applied statistics, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for querying, transforming, preparing, and analyzing complex datasets.
• Experience developing and evaluating statistical and/or machine-learning models, including feature engineering, validation, and error analysis.
• Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues across multiple data sources.
• Ability to develop reproducible analyses and maintain documented, version-controlled code.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings, uncertainty, assumptions, and limitations to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, developers, and other technical teams to deliver usable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting federal government or Intelligence Community customers in classified environments.
• Experience integrating analytics or machine learning into production applications or automated workflows.
• Familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) and intelligent automation, particularly UiPath.
• Experience with natural language processing, document classification, information extraction, or entity matching.
• Experience with process mining or operational analytics, including cycle time, backlog, rework, and exception analysis.
• Familiarity with model deployment, monitoring, data lineage, and auditability.
• Experience evaluating generative AI or agentic AI workflows, including grounding, output validation, and human review.
• Experience developing dashboards and analytical visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries.
• Master's degree or other advanced degree in a relevant quantitative discipline.
