Job Title : Buyer/Procurement Analyst
Work Location: Lexington, KY
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $30.42/hr.
Job Description
The Buyer/Procurement Analyst is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, parts, services, and supplies required for organizational operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Source and purchase materials, equipment, parts, services, and supplies.
Compile and analyze statistical data to evaluate purchasing feasibility and establish pricing objectives.
Monitor supplier performance and evaluate supplier operations.
Research market pricing trends and manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities to optimize material acquisitions and reduce procurement costs.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers while maintaining quality, reliability, and delivery requirements.
Review proposals, negotiate prices, and select or recommend suppliers.
Track purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, verify receipts, and approve payments.
Maintain accurate purchasing and procurement records.
Assist in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.
Candidate Requirements
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry.
Ability to create, maintain, and use Microsoft Excel worksheets.
Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
