Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Engineer for a leading government technology organization in the Annapolis, Maryland area. The Sr. Oracle Database Engineer role is a fully onsite position requiring 5 days per week in the office. The Sr. Oracle Database Engineer will support and enhance mission-critical Oracle database environments and enterprise integrations within a highly secure federal environment. An ideal candidate for the Sr. Oracle Database Engineer role is an experienced database professional with advanced Oracle development expertise, strong integration experience, and an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Oracle Database Engineer:
• Develop, maintain, and support enterprise solutions utilizing Oracle Database platforms ranging from Oracle 10g through current versions.
• Design and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, and database APIs.
• Maintain and support data feeds, system interfaces, and enterprise application integrations across mission-critical environments.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and implement solutions to improve scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to support database modernization, system enhancements, and operational support initiatives.
Qualifications of the Sr. Oracle Database Engineer:
• Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance required.
• 8+ years of experience developing and supporting Oracle database solutions in enterprise environments.
• Advanced expertise with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including dynamic SQL, collections, bulk processing, exception handling, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience supporting data feeds, ETL processes, and system integrations between enterprise applications.
• Experience working within Linux-based environments and supporting secure government systems.
Compensation for the Sr. Oracle Database Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 depending on experience
