Baer is looking for SAP Cutover Lead for a 3+ month project located in New York.
Title: SAP Cutover Lead
Location: Remote, with approximately occasional on-site travel to NY.

Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed

Overview

The SAP Cutover Lead is responsible for leading end-to-end cutover planning, coordination, and execution for large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployments, with a primary focus on SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Manufacturing (MFG). This role ensures seamless transitions from legacy systems to SAP by driving deployment readiness, mock cutovers, go-live execution, command center operations, and hypercare. The ideal candidate brings extensive SAP deployment experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to minimize operational risk while maintaining business continuity across manufacturing plants and warehouse operations.

Description:

• Lead end-to-end SAP cutover strategy, planning, governance, and execution across EWM, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and related business functions.


• Develop and manage detailed cutover plans, deployment schedules, execution runbooks, milestones, and critical dependencies.


• Lead SAP EWM warehouse and Manufacturing plant go-live activities, ensuring inventory, production, logistics, and operational readiness.


• Plan and facilitate mock cutovers, validate execution timelines, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.


• Coordinate business, functional, technical, infrastructure, data migration, system integration, and third-party teams.


• Drive go-live readiness assessments, go/no-go decisions, command center activities, and deployment escalations.


• Proactively manage cutover risks, issues, contingency plans, and rollback procedures.


• Lead post-go-live stabilization and hypercare, ensuring timely issue resolution and transition to operational support teams.


• Maintain cutover documentation, readiness reports, risk logs, and executive status communications.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of SAP implementation experience, including at least 5 years leading large-scale SAP cutovers.


• Extensive hands-on leadership experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, and Manufacturing deployments.


• Strong knowledge of SAP PP, QM, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Data Migration processes.


• Proven experience leading warehouse go-lives, manufacturing plant deployments, and multi-site SAP rollouts.


• Demonstrated expertise in cutover planning, mock cutovers, go-live readiness, command center leadership, and hypercare.


• Experience managing large cross-functional teams, system integrators, and third-party implementation partners.


• Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.


• Manufacturing, distribution, CPG, or food and beverage industry experience strongly preferred.


• SAP EWM certification and PMP certification are desirable.
