Job Description
Maintain the IT environment across production and test systems for a satellite program, keeping systems efficient, secure, and reliable. Support satellite database, flight software, and testbed environments. 100% on-site, day shift on a 9/80 schedule, with occasional after-hours support during critical operations.
Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Linux/UNIX systems, and support disaster recovery (NetBackup/Veeam).
Install, secure, and monitor NetApp or other NAS/SAN storage.
Apply STIGs, manage patches and upgrades, perform trusted downloads, and maintain RMF compliance.
Execute changes through change-management tools and keep asset inventories current.
Provide after-hours support when critical operations require it.
Lead technical best-practice discussions, mentor peers, and coordinate with functional teams.
Required Skills
Active DoD Secret clearance (final); future Top Secret may be required
Security+ certification (current)
Linux/UNIX administration and hardening
NetBackup / Veeam disaster recovery
NetApp or other NAS/SAN storage
STIGs, patching, trusted downloads, RMF
Desired Skills
Active Top Secret clearance or TS eligibility
