Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structures Mechanic to join our team. This position requires a Secret clearance and will involve critical maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft structural maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural inspections and repairs on aircraft components, including fuselage, wings, and empennage.
• Identify and correct structural defects, cracks, and damage using approved procedures.
• Fabricate and install structural components as required, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for structural maintenance tasks.
• Document all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and parts used, in accordance with maintenance records.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of aircraft maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in aircraft structures or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft structural maintenance, preferably on military aircraft.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for structural maintenance.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural principles, materials, and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific aircraft types (e.g., C-130, F-16, etc.)
• Certification in aircraft structural maintenance from a recognized aviation authority.
• Experience with composite materials and advanced structural repair techniques.

Work Environment:

This position will be performed at Beale Air Force Base, CA. The work environment includes exposure to aircraft hangars, flight lines, and potentially confined spaces. The candidate must be physically able and willing to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
