We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system engineering and experience working with cloud technologies. You will play a key role in building and deploying solutions that leverage serverless, microservice-based, IaaS, PaaS, and containerized architectures in Azure and AWS environments.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with developers to build and deliver solutions using serverless, microservice-based, IaaS, PaaS, and containerized architectures in Azure and AWS cloud environments.
Build, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS).
Automate the end-to-end build and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions using modern DevOps IaC and CI/CD processes.
Integrate solutions with pipeline tools and configuration management tools.
Develop extensive monitoring, observability, and reporting capabilities for implemented solutions.
Assist with load testing and tuning efforts for implemented solutions.
Assist with security and compliance reviews for existing and new solutions and manage remediation tasks.
Maintain and improve container registries, Helm charts, and deployment manifests.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a DevOps or System Engineering role.
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes and concepts.
Experience building out automation in a cloud environment.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Pipelines, GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with AWS DevOps toolset (CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild).
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, Bicep).
Experience with Configuration Management tools (Saltstack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Understanding of Azure and AWS PaaS and IaaS Services.
Knowledge of cloud networking and security.
Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, Azure Functions).
Proficiency with containers and microservices.
Experience with Docker or other containerization tools.
Knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, or self-managed).
Familiarity with Helm charts and container registries (ACR, ECR).
Understanding of queues and messaging.
Experience with Linux and Windows.
Knowledge of network/firewall architecture and concepts.
Experience with various persistence technologies.
Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with supporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git repository.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
Secret Clearance.
Ability to work hybrid in Tysons, VA.
Demonstrated competency in enterprise design patterns, object-oriented design, development and implementation of complex applications or components in hybrid environments (Cloud/On-Premise).
Demonstrated competency in accurately identifying the scope of work and preparing thorough, accurate and detailed schedule estimates.
Knowledge of industry best practices for code quality, architecture, accessibility, and usability.
