Summary:
• Conduct threat hunt operations and analyze network traffic using defensive cyber operations and data science techniques.
• Perform operational research, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and advanced model building to identify emerging cyber threats.
• Build intuitive dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex findings and patterns to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operational teams to collect requirements, generate use cases, and deliver technical training.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 9+ years
• Total Compensation: $274k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Conduct active threat hunt operations and deliver findings through interactive briefings and reports.
• Synthesize diverse data streams across cloud and big data platforms into coherent data products.
• Leverage Python, SQL, and specialized query languages to analyze data and automate defensive capabilities.
• Utilize SIEM, SOAR, and network traffic analysis tools such as Splunk and Wireshark to investigate anomalies.
• Develop, deploy, and refine threat detection signatures using industry-standard frameworks.
• Create customer-facing data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Power-BI.
• Perform quality assurance on resident platform data feeds and assist with operational workflow integration.
Telework:
This position supports a hybrid schedule requiring up to four days per week on-site in Washington, DC.
